AFL great Eddie Betts has shed light on the sad fallout following the disgusting racist attack aimed at his children. The much-loved champion shared distressing CCTV footage on Thursday showing a white car drive by while his kids were playing basketball at their home. A male voice could be heard repeatedly shouting a racial slur, sending Betts’ frightened children running inside. It’s the latest in a long list of attacks aimed at Betts.
“To the people who have done this and drove past my house to yell abuse at my kids — it is hurtful and this will stick with them for the rest of their lives and the rest of my life. “The only place I’d ever want my kids to feel safe is at home and they can’t even feel safe at home. “It’s been a tough week but I just want to thank the community for their support for showing their love.
