As reported by Malay Mail, the app uses open-source data from OpenDOSM. A collaborative effort between the Economy Ministry with KitaJaga who developed the application, it is now available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Rafizi elaborated that his Ministry will start with groceries since most price hikes are focused on this category. In the future, it will be expanded to other categories for consumers.
He further revealed that KitaJaga developed the app voluntarily. Furthermore, the Economy Ministry is planning to work together with other e-commerce stakeholders to expand existing price-checking potential. So, what do you guys think of the KitaJaga app?
