THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Tuesday that the easterlies are affecting most parts of the country and that it has not monitored any weather disturbance inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility over the next few days.'It would be generally-fair weather especially over the next 24 hours in most parts of the country,' Pagasa weather forecaster Obet Badrina told The Manila Times.

He said the easterlies – the winds coming from the east that pass through the Pacific Ocean and bring warm, humid weather – are affecting large parts of the country.Pagasa said Batanes and Bauyan Islands would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon locally known as 'amihan.'Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms are bringing cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
