LAHAD DATU: The Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) plans to open a local Institute of Higher Education (IPT) branch in this district, for the convenience of children especially in the East Coast of Sabah.
KPT Deputy Minister, Datuk Mohd Yusof Apdal said the aim is also to introduce Technical and Vocational Training programmes to students.He said the programme is part of the Ministry’s initiative to overcome the problem of high unemployment among graduates while ensuring the marketability of existing graduates. “With the introduction of the programme in Sabah, it will give greater opportunities to students to find employment with ease.
