A magnitude-4.8 earthquake has been recorded in South Australia's Flinders Ranges.
Senior duty seismologist at Geoscience Australia Hugh Glanville said the earthquake was felt as far as Adelaide, more than 250 kilometres away.
"It's been felt quite widely, we've had reports locally, down towards Adelaide and even on Kangaroo Island," Mr Glanville said. "It's quite a strong one for this region, we do get them this size, out this way, but it is the largest we've recorded in 100 kilometres in that location in the past 10 years, and reasonably strong shaking for 20 or 30 seconds."
