KUCHING: There was early Raya joy for residents from two care homes when they received new clothes in a Ramadan initiative by a Sarawak government-linked company.
The recipients from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Baiturrahmah and Pusat Jagaan Nur Murni also received duit Raya from Centexs Commercial, a subsidiary of the Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak and its strategic partners.
Under the Ramadan initiative, the baju Raya were sponsored by Centexs Commercial's strategic partners to be given to those in need. "This is something we welcome. We want to see government-linked companies doing well and giving back to society," she said. "I'm happy that I got to choose new clothes for Raya. I picked a purple baju Melayu which I felt suited me," he said.
