A 21-year-old man who was arrested for molestation was found dead in his cell at the Talisay City Police Station.

An e-bike driver who was previously arrested for a molestation case was found dead in his detention cell at the Talisay City Police Station at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 22, 2024. The deceased, 21-year-old Julius, resided in Barangay Poblacion, Talisay City. P/Lt. Col. Efraem Paguyod, chief of the Talisay City Police Station , revealed that Julius was apprehended that Sunday morning, December 22, 2024, during a police chase.

The victim's mother, a 10-year-old, had filed a complaint against Julius. The victim and her mother were brought to the Women's, Children, and Protection Desk (WCPD-Talisay Police) in the pink room at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC). According to the police, the suspect became hungry and requested food. The police offered him food from a store across from the police station, but when he was about to be given the food, he was found hanging, prompting immediate assistance. He was taken to the Talisay hospital but was pronounced dead
