Police: 'This initiative is proving to be a successful way to connect with our community and enhance police presence in identified area.'
During the most recent two-week Dynamic Patrol initiative, Sault Ste. Marie police spent 50 hours walking the downtown core, responding quickly to two significant events, issuing 24 provincial offence notices, 16 by-law fines and making four arrests.
“While assigned to this initiative, officers are encouraged to engage with community members to continue to build relationships,” said Insp. Ben Bolduc in a news release. “This initiative is proving to be a successful way to connect with our community and enhance police presence in identified area.”
