In 2022, Durham Region will receive $29.2-million from an annual round of provincial funding for paramedicine.
The Land Ambulance Service Grant helps cover 50 per cent of a region’s costs to run land ambulances. This year, Queen’s Park is investing around $764-million provincewide. “The [LASG] is a successful funding partnership with the province that supports the region’s ability to recruit paramedics and operate over forty ambulances across the region,” said Regional Chair John Henry. “As Durham’s population grows, we will also require growth in our paramedic services.”The latter program has been
