The Department of Social Welfare and Development reassured the public on Monday, June 7, that the delivery of social protection programs and services remained unhampered.

The DSWD renewed its commitment to continue assisting the vulnerable sectors, after the Commission on Human Rights lauded its continuous provision of livelihood support to women through the Sustainable Livelihood Program as expressed by its spokesperson, Atty. Jacqueline Ann de Guia.

The DSWD said SLP is a capacity building program which provides opportunities to the vulnerable, marginalized, and disadvantaged individuals, families, and communities to enhance their livelihood assets and capacity to utilize their resources more productively. Under the SLP, the beneficiaries are given the option to take either the micro-enterprise development track, or the employment facilitation track.
