A 40-year-old driver from Paliparan, Mabuhay City, Dasmariñas, Cavite was arrested after authorities found P69 million worth of shabu in his possession on Tuesday, Jan. 31, in Brgy. Jubasan, Allen, Northern Samar.
TACLOBAN CITY — A 40-year-old driver from Paliparan, Mabuhay City, Dasmariñas, Cavite was arrested after authorities found P69 million worth of shabu in his possession on Tuesday, Jan. 31, in Brgy. Jubasan, Allen, Northern Samar.
The driver was identified as Mangayao Lapan Mitomara who was flagged down for not wearing a seatbelt by the Highway Patrol Group which was implementing security measures along Maharlika Highway through the Task Force Maharlika.The driver was then invited by the HPG personnel to their office for verification and impounding of his sedan.
However, while being interviewed by the apprehending officers, Mitomara readily admitted that there was shabu inside his vehicle.The cops also recovered ten blocks of white crystalline substance suspected to be ‘shabu’ wrapped in a plastic transparent wrapper and contained in a green Chinese tea bag marked as ‘Guanyinwang.’
The driver was immediately arrested after being informed of his Constitutional rights. The process was duly documented by an alternative recording device by the arresting officer.
