The 58-year-old male driver was rushed to hospital following the crash in Airdrie this afternoon (Friday). He was pronounced dead a short time later.
The smash happened earlier today at around 3.25pm when a car collided with a bus and two other cars on Stirling Street in the Lanarkshire town.

Nobody else was injured in the incident and the road has since reopened.Sergeant Nick Twigg from Road Policing said: “We are appealing for any potential witnesses who are still to speak to officers to please get in touch.
