PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong will be debating on Budget 2023 for the Agriculture and Food Security Ministry in the Dewan Rakyat on Wednesday (March 15).
"I will be participating in the debate on Budget 2023 for the ministry," the MCA president and Ayer Hitam MP said in a Facebook post earlier in the day.
Last month, Dr Wee praised the government's Budget 2023 as it fulfilled several items on the rakyat's wish list. "Budget 2023 with an allocation of RM388.1bil, of which RM289.1bil is operating expenditure, RM99bil for development expenditure, including RM2bil in contingency savings, has covered a wide spectrum of our communities and fields," he said.
On the ministry, Dr Wee said the Budget addressed revamping the agro-food sector by prioritising the survival of local food producers.
