PETALING JAYA: Bekas perdana menteri Dr Mahathir Mohamad dimasukkan ke Institut Jantung Negara sejak Selasa lalu dipercayai akibat mengalami jangkitan.

Pengerusi Sekretariat Proklamasi Orang Melayu, Khairuddin Abu Hassan, bagaimanapun memaklumkan kehadiran Mahathir di IJN bagi menjalani pemeriksaan kesihatan biasa, menurut Berita Harian. Sebelum ini sebuah portal melaporkan kesihatan bekas Ahli Parlimen Langkawi itu dalam keadaan membimbangkan, namun sumber yang dipetik berkata pihaknya masih menunggu kenyataan rasmi IJN.Mahathir, 98, sebelum ini pernah dimasukkan ke IJN selama 16 hari pada Januari tahun lalu selepas menjalani prosedur perubatan elektif.
