The Department of Public Works and Highways has completed the construction of a P20 million farm-to-market road in Barangay Sta. Lucia, Angat, Bulacan, ensuring road accessibility for residents and reducing transportation costs for agricultural goods.
DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan said the completed section of the project spans 2.09 kilometers of concrete pavement and includes 92 meters of stone masonry, ensuring both durability and improved transportation efficiency.“The farm-to-market road is expected to boost local trade, increase productivity, lower transportation cost, and minimize post-harvest losses of residents in the area,” he added.
“The completed project does not just physically improve accessibility in the area, but also represents a commitment to growth, resilience, and sustainable progress for the community it serves,” DPWH Region 3 Director Roseller Tolentino said. He said more farm-to-market roads are on the blueprint and would be implemented immediately after the election period.
