Areas north, east and just west of Gatineau should get 50 to 80 millimetres of rain Friday and early Saturday and could hit 100 millimetres.Gatineau and most of eastern Ontario should get 50 to 75 millimetres of rain Thursday night and Friday. Places such as Belleville and Bancroft were added around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
Flash flooding and water pooling on the road are possible, especially in low-lying areas. Environment Canada also says there's a risk of thunderstorms in the mix Thursday night and Friday.is 41.4 millimetres in 1959, while the August daily record is 71.1 millimetres Aug. 11, 1887.
