Don’t upload hateful content, MCMC reminds social media users FMTNews
Social media platforms must also be more responsible by deleting provocative and dangerous content when detected, says MCMC chief.
MCMC chairman Salim Fateh Din said this followed recent incidents involving posts with 3R elements, which could have an adverse effect on public order and harmony in the country. In this regard, he said MCMC would continue to monitor the dissemination of inauthentic information and malicious comments involving the 3R elements.
“Joint enforcement action will be taken by the police against those involved to protect public order and the interests of citizens,” Salim added.
