The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is hosting a job fair in Pasay City to connect displaced workers from Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) with potential employers from various industries. The job fair will feature over 120 local and overseas companies offering positions in sectors such as finance, shipping, food and beverage, retail, and business process outsourcing (BPO).
The Department of Labor and Employment ( DOLE ) will host a job fair in Pasay City next week, offering 5,225 job vacancies to displaced workers from Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators ( POGO ). Scheduled from January 28th to 29th, the event will connect former POGO employees with potential employers from various industries across Metro Manila.
Partnering with DOLE-National Capital Region (NCR)-Makati and Pasay Field Office, JobStreet by SEEK PH, and the Pasay City Public Employment Service Office (PESO), the job fair aims to facilitate a smooth transition for affected workers.A total of 126 local companies and six overseas employers have confirmed their participation, providing positions in sectors like finance, shipping, food and beverage, retail, and business process outsourcing (BPO). This initiative is part of Project DAPAT, a DOLE-led program designed to assist displaced workers and address unemployment resulting from the cessation of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (IGL). Now in its fourth leg, Project DAPAT demonstrates the administration's commitment to supporting affected workers and facilitating their re-entry into the workforce. The job fair will also feature a one-stop shop offering services from key government agencies, including the Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG Fund, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), TESDA, PSA, and Pocket Rocket Advertising Incorporated. Additionally, JobStreet will host a free career conference, providing valuable insights on workforce trends and job application strategies to enhance applicants' preparedness for employment. Applicants are encouraged to pre-register via JobStreet’s official Facebook page or QR code and bring multiple copies of their resumes and other essential documents for a streamlined application process
