House Majority Leader and Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez and Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez thanked on Saturday, May 9 the Department of Health (DOH) for accrediting the Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center (EVRMC) in Tacloban City as COVID-19 testing center, saying that it will help strengthen the government's fight against the coronavirus pandemic, particularly in the Eastern Visayas.

House Majority Leader and Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez and Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez thanked on Saturday, May 9 the Department of Health for accrediting the Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center in Tacloban City as COVID-19 testing center, saying that it will help strengthen the government’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic, particularly in the Eastern Visayas.

“We can now help ourselves with our capability to handle the screening for COVID-19. This is a very crucial key in managing, containing, and flattening the curve of COVID-19 infections,” the Romualdez couple said. He said the EVRMC “shall continue to participate in the Proficiency Testing Program of the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, follow the Operational Guidelines for COVID-19 Laboratories, and abide by the highest laboratory standard.”
