The Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday logged 3,996 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the nationwide tally to 3,772,468.

32,673 on Friday, according to the DOH’s latest figuresThe National Capital Region recorded 13,837 new cases in the recent two weeks, followed by Calabarzon with 9,069, Central Luzon with 4,273, Western Visayas with 2,482, and Central Visayas with 1,725.

Likewise, country’s recovery tally also increased to 3,678,240 with 3,121 more patients defeated the viral disease.At least 7,862 beds were occupied, while 21,054 were vacant as the bed occupancy in the country stood at 27.2% as of Thursday, July 28. The Health department said at least 22,456 individuals were tested, while 322 testing labs submitted data as of July 29.
