The Australian Medical Association President and several doctors have voiced their support after Tanya Plibersek implored Twitter users to give up vaping for their New Year's resolution.
Ms Plibersek took to Twitter on New Year’s Day to outline a number of reasons why vaping is unhealthy and bad for the environment.

They break down into microplastics that pollute our waters, soils + even make it into our bodies. The batteries can start fires in landfill. They are next to impossible to recycle because the plastic contains poison.”
“Australia has been fantastically successful at quitting smoking – let’s stop a new generation from picking up a habit that is even worse for the environment than tobacco,” she wrote.Australian Medical Association President Professor Stephen Robson said: “Yes, yes, yes”.
