General tickets for Taylor Swift's Sydney shows have completely sold out to the dismay of thousands of fans who have been left empty-handed.
A week of Swift mania begun with an exclusive presale for American Express cardholders on Monday, which quickly ran into trouble when the site crashed prior to the sale going live.
The Love Story singer then smashed a nationwide record when more than four million fans queued up for the release on Wednesday – which presenter Frontier Touring labelled “historically unprecedented demand”. Swifties were largely disappointed following Wednesday’s presale after some reported waiting up to six hours and being booted from the site while finalising payment.
Meanwhile, others said they joined the queue after tickets dropped and were able to buy seats over those who waited hours ahead of the release. This is the most unfair system, people getting in multiple times while other donât get in at all⦠whatâs the point of getting on the site 15 minutes before..
