Juanito Victor 'Jonvic' Remulla, the Secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), reported in a text message to reporters that DILG is preparing a 10,000-strong task force in case a warrant of arrest for Senator Ronald 'Bato' dela Rosa is issued, after the Senate claimed that the International Criminal Court (ICC) has released an arrest warrant against him. The task force aims to arrest Senator dela Rosa through a large-scale police operation over allegations of extrajudicial killings.
The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) has assembled a 10,000-strong task force for a possible dragnet operation to arrest Senator Ronald ‘Bato’ dela Rosa, as reported by the Philippine Senate.
The senate also mentioned that the International Criminal Court (ICC) has released a warrant against him, although DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla stated that he has no information on this matter. Last November, Ombudsman Jesus Crispin ‘Boying’ Remulla declared that the ICC had issued an arrest warrant against dela Rosa, but the Department of Justice (DOJ) claimed to be verifying the information.
