The defending champions now hold 18 match points and 31 board points, well ahead of No. 2 National University with only two rounds remaining.WNM Mary Joy Tan won after 76 moves over La Salle’s Rinoa Sadey in a rook vs. knight and bishop endgame. On the top board, WNM Mhage Seabastian triumphed over WNM Francois Magpily , while FEU’s Franchesca Largo suffered the team’s lone loss, falling to Checy Telesforo on Board 4.Natasja Balabbo and Princess Ballete scored wins on Boards 2 and 3, defeating Jerlyn San Diego and Jallen Agra respectively.

Queen Rose Pamplona sealed the match for NU by drawing with Jarel Lacambra on the top board, while Raiza Locmayoan earned UP’s sole win against Jelaine Adriano on Board 4.Josemier Panol and Precious Yecla led the charge for UST, defeating Kristine Flores and Ma. Elayza Villa , respectively. Christine Tabungar held Ateneo’s Alphecca Gonzales to a draw on Board 3, while Lexie Hernandez scored Ateneo’s lone victory, over Rohanisah Buto on Board 4.
