Delivery rider charged over motorcycle blaze at KLCC
A FOOD rider pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court in Kuala Lumpur today to a charge of causing mischief by fire.
Azril Kamarunzaman, 34, is accused of burning 11 motorcycles and four electric scooters in a parking area at Suria KLCC at 3.30pm on April 13. He was charged under section 435 of the penal code, and faces up to 14 years in prison and a fine, if convicted.Deputy public prosecutor Wan Nurul Amalina Abu Hanifah prosecuted, while lawyer Muhamad Ridzuan Umar represented Azril. – Bernama, April 19, 2023.
