Province looking to lease 30,000- to 35,000-square-foot space in Deer Lake region to house facility

“I’d just love to see more primary-care practitioners to help share the load. It’s difficult managing rural medicine and family care right now. “To me the best way to recruit individuals is to create a ridiculously happy bunch of people that work here already, so that they go around talking about how much they love to work in the Deer Lake area.”
The centre will include the recently announced family care team for the Deer Lake-White Bay region and will house public health, community support, mental-health and addiction services, diabetes services, ambulatory care, blood collection, X-ray, virtual care, a space for learners and the Department of Children, Seniors and Social Development.
