ACT Policing says it is not treating the death of a woman at a Canberra CBD hotel as suspicious after staff found the 40-year-old's body on Thursday morning.

The 40-year-old was found by hotel employees on Thursday morning with staff believing the woman was deceased. Officers were called to the Akuna Street hotel about 11:15am before paramedics confirmed the woman had died.Late on Thursday night, police issued an update, confirming the death was not being treated as suspicious.
"While police continue to investigate the circumstances of this incident, the woman’s death does not appear to be suspicious," ACT Policing said.
