MANILA, Philippines — The De La Salle University Green Archers failed to repeat as champions after falling to the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons , 62-66, in the UAAP Season 87 Men's Basketball Finals Game 3 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum Sunday.Rallying from a 14-point deficit in the third quarter, La Salle fought valiantly but ultimately fell short to yield the title to UP.
'We gave ourselves a chance to win when we were almost down and out with that 14-point lead but we tried to recover and you know, just those shots that they make big time. Shots that we missed big time so that's the-- if we're gonna sum up the season, that's what happened in the finals.' he added.
