Three more electrical engineers from AboitizPower distribution utility Davao Light and Power Co. Inc. were included in the Asean Engineering Register . The AER is an official list of engineers and related associates in the Asean , designed to promote recognition, safeguard professional interest, foster high standards, and promote cultural and professional links of engineers in the region.
The Asean Federation of Engineering Organizations Governing Board, through the Philippine Technological Council, officially named Engrs. Richard Regidor, Virmel Dabon and Jonel Padillo to the AER during a ceremony in Manila last December. The three honorees have proven their competence in their respective specializations: Electrical Network Protection for Regidor, Operation and Maintenance of Transmission and Distribution Systems for Dabon, and Utility Regulatory Compliance for Padillo.

800 Families Affected by Flooding and Landslides in Davao RegionThe Office of Civil Defense-Davao Region (OCD-Davao) reported that around 800 families were affected by flooding and landslides caused by the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) in the region. Around 877 families were preemptively evacuated due to flooding in Davao Occidental, while 10 families were evacuated in Davao Oriental. The OCD-Davao conducted both preemptive and forced evacuations in affected areas, and reported damaged infrastructure including the Lais Bridge and the National Bridge in Malita. Disaster response teams are monitoring the situation and the OCD-Davao is ready to provide further assistance.
