Chelsea and Ireland legend Damien Duff oversaw Shelbourne’s 2-1 win in their Europa Conference League first-leg against St Joseph’s of Gibraltar
Damien Duff says he cried ‘a good few times’ ahead of Shelbourne’s return to Europe on Thursday night.
“I didn’t want to show the guys a video, I actually haven’t done one last season, the last time was a similar time last year. “Yeah, I was crying again,” he said. “I’m an emotional guy. I’m a shouter and a screamer, but I’m a hugger and a kisser and I cry as well. “Ah no, absolute satisfaction, I’m very proud of the guys, I thought they were brilliant,” Duff said.
“It’s a brilliant win, we’ll go and adapt to the conditions over there next week and we’ll be ready.”
