Daily Faceoff Live: How many players hit 100 points this season?
The 100 point milestone is one many players strive to hit in one season. Normally a few players will each year, but the 2021-22 season saw eight hit the mark.
Connor McDavid, Johnny Gaudreau, Jonathan Huberdeau, Leon Draisaitl, Kirill Kaprizov, Auston Matthews, Steven Stamkos, and Matthew Tkachuk all reached 100 points last season, and a few more missed out on the mark that probably would have hit it if not for injuries in J.T. Miller , Mitch Marner , and Artemi Panarin .
Frank Seravalli and Tyler Yaremchuk answered another inbox question on Daily Faceoff Live, this one asking how many 100 point players we’ll see in 2022-23.“I’m going to say six. So I’ve got McDavid, Draisaitl, Kaprizov, Matthews, and I’m going to go with Roman Josi and Mikko Rantanen. So that’s my six, so I’m going to say that Stamkos, Tkachuk, Huberdeau, and Gaudreau all do not hit the 100 point mark for the second year in a row.”“Alright, I’m going one higher than you. I’m going with seven.
