As far as the group of the Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III is concerned, there is nothing wrong with Senator Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao running for presidency under the PROMDI, instead of his political party Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan .Pimentel on Saturday, October 2, brushed aside criticisms from the group of Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi, about Pacquiao filing his certificate of candidacy with Cebu-based Probinsya Muna Development Inititiative as his political party.
Asked for a direct statement, Matibag instead said that Pimentel “was the one who drafted our constitution.” He also said that the two political parties were also part of the “MP3 Alliance” with the Pacquiao-founded People’s Champ Movement , for the 2022 elections.
