Kerri Einarson and teammates Val Sweeting, Shannon Birchard and Briane Harris are chasing a fourth straight Scotties title in Kamloops.Her team, which includes third Val Sweeting, second Shannon Birchard and lead Briane Harris, has been Canada’s best since February of 2020, when it won its first of three straight Scotties titles in Moose Jaw, Sask.
“It would definitely be a bonus,” Einarson said. “Of course, we want to defend our title and be up there with Colleen Jones, but for this week, we just want to go out and enjoy ourselves. That’s when we play our best, when we’re out there having fun, laughing and making some curling shots.”Article contentThis is surely the deepest field ever assembled for the Scotties, with at least 15 of the 18 teams looking capable of getting into the six-team playoffs.
