Greater Sudbury downs Espanola 7-4 in NOJHL action
The Greater Sudbury Cubs trio of Oliver Smith, Pierson Sobush and Billy Biedermann led the NOJHL squad to a 7-4 victory when the Espanola Paper Kings came to town on Oct. 13.
Espanola took the lead on the very next shift when Atley Gringorten wheeled into the slot and fired one upstairs past Boyes, earning the Paper Kings forward his ninth goal of the season. Cole Crowder brought the Cubs to within one just before the end fo the first. On the power play, he won a race for the puck down the left wing, then darted to the net and beat Dyck with a low shot from a sharp angle.
