That was the lesson 42-year-old Dylan Ryan learned this past Saturday morning, Oct. 14, in Lethbridge on the Bonavista Peninsula. Patrolling Clarenville RCMP officers were on the lookout for a commercial cube van, stolen from St. John’s on Oct. 5, when they spotted the vehicle parked at a Lethbridge gas station. When approached and informed of his arrest, police said Ryan fled into the woods on foot.Spotted near the Lethbridge RV Park a short time later, Ryan fled again, only to be tracked and caught by police service dog Marlow and her handler.
While the investigation continues, Ryan has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime, two counts of resisting arrest and theft under $5,000.
