The average earnings per week for Irish employees was almost €1,000 for the first quarter of the year, an increase of nearly five per cent from the previous year.

"The largest annual percentage increase in average weekly earnings in Q1 2024 was 8.9 per cent in the Arts, Entertainment, Recreation and Other Service Activities sector.
