"Over the summer I just tried to get in the gym as much as I could and I was also on the ice a lot. But it's all just confidence," he said."I'm really confident in my game right now and I'm really happy to be back. "The more we saw from him, the more we knew we had to move him up ," general manager Cam Russell said."Being on the fourth line was perfect for him last year because he was so young but he doesn't belong there anymore."While most of the credit has to go to Crosby for committing himself to improving all through the 2021-22 season as well as over the summer, the coaches also deserve a healthy share for sticking with him as a rookie.
"I've felt really good so far in camp but now I want to make sure I can keep that going in the season. That's the most important thing now."
