Mandaluyong ramps up COVID19 testing in 2 barangays

MAYNILA — Puspusan ang pagsasagawa ng testing para sa coronavirus disease sa mga residente ng 2 barangay sa Mandaluyong na naka-lockdown, ayon sa lokal na opisyal.

Sisikaping tapusin ang rapid testing sa mga residente ng 2 barangay bago matapos ang lockdown dito sa Miyerkoles, Mayo 13, ayon kay Jimmy Isidro, tagapagsalita ng city government. Sa Barangay Addition Hills, na naka-lockdown mula noong Mayo 7, nasa 2,500 na ang sumailalim sa rapid testing, kung saan 120 ang nagpositibo. May 500 namang ite-test pa lang.

Sa Barangay Mauway naman, na isinailalim sa 3 araw na lockdown simula Lunes, 120 na ang na-test, kung saan 19 ang nagpositibo sa sakit. Higit 1,000 pa ang kailangan dumaan sa test. Isasalang pa sa swab testing ang mga nagpositibo sa rapid testing para makumpirma kung nahawahan sila ng COVID-19, ayon sa lokal na pamahalaan.Noong Lunes, umabot na sa 475 ang kabuuang bilang ng kumpirmado sa COVID-19 sa lungsod. -- Ulat ni Zhander Cayabyab, ABS-CBN News
