The case of a high-profile man charged with the alleged rape of a young woman in 2021 has returned to a Queensland court.

The man cannot be named because unique Queensland laws prevent the identification of a person charged with sexual offences until the matter is committed to a trial. This was because the man’s matter - still at committal mention phase on Wednesday - was too premature in its passage through the courts, she said.
