: The Federal Court has dismissed Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak’s application to review his conviction for misappropriating SRC International funds.
A five-member bench today ruled that the former prime minister was not denied the right to a fair trial and therefore his application for leave to initiate the review should be rejected. On July 28, 2020, Najib was convicted by Justice Nazlan Ghazali, then a High Court judge, for abuse of power, money laundering and criminal breach of trust over SRC funds amounting to RM42 million.
