AMPANG: A married couple has been arrested in connection with a bomb that killed a waiter in Pandan Indah on Dec 29.

The suspects were apprehended at a house in Kedah on Tuesday night, when a team from Ampang Jaya district police headquarters raided the house in Kedah and apprehended the suspects.

Both suspects have been brought to the Ampang Magistrate's Court for a remand application under Section 117 of the Penal Code. It was reported that a waiter at a restaurant in Pandan Indah was killed by an explosion after he inspected a package placed on his car. The 28-year-old male victim went to his car and saw a package placed on top of it at about 8.55pm on Thursday and the package exploded when he tried to inspect it.

The victim sustained severe injuries to body and hands and succumbed to his injuries at Hospital Ampang.
