“We believe that the suspect was purposely evading police and may have dropped clothing items during the process,” Coquitlam RCMP said.
Two Coquitlam Mounties were hurt during an altercation involving a weapon on the Coquitlam/Port Coquitlam border last month.Police issued a news release today, July 9, about the incident that happened on June 30, 2024, at 9:50 a.m. near the Westwood Street and Lougheed Highway intersection.
The suspect fled on foot, running east to Port Coquitlam through laneways, parking lots and residential backyards; he was arrested near Patricia Avenue and Hastings Street in Port Coquitlam.
