KOTA BHARU: Policemen opened fire on a four-wheel drive vehicle after its driver attempted to ram them while being pursued at Tumpat, near here, yesterday.
“But the suspect sped towards Palekbang. At a traffic light intersection in Palekbang, the policemen attempted to approach the suspect’s vehicle, but he suddenly made a U-turn, forcing them to jump onto the rear of the suspect’s vehicle to save themselves,” he said in a statement.However, the man, who was suspected of being a transporter of illegal migrants, continued accelerating the vehicle towards Sekolah Kebangsaan Morak’s field before he finally stopped.
