KUALA LUMPUR: Two Taiwanese men were arrested by the police upon entry to Malaysia as they are wanted there.
Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the two men were arrested nine days ago when they entered the country via a flight from Taiwan.
"Both suspects are wanted by our counterparts in Taiwan for suspected involvement in a shooting case there. The two are also believed to be members of a secret society and a part of a scam syndicate there," added Acryl Sani in a statement on Saturday . "They two have been handed over to Taiwanese police at the same airport at around 2.45pm on Friday to be brought back to their home country," he said, adding that the arrest is a result of the police's close collaboration with Taiwanese authorities.
