Cops nab man for insults about Johor Sultan FMTNews
PETALING JAYA: Police have arrested a 35-year-old man for allegedly insulting Johor ruler Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar in a Facebook post.The suspect who owns the account named “Indera Mulia” on Facebook, was arrested in Puchong, Selangor today. He is alleged to have posted insulting remarks about the Johor sultan on April 20.
Noorsiah said the investigation is being carried out under the Sedition Act and the Communications and Multimedia Act. A remand application will be made tomorrow.
