PETALING JAYA: The police have taken action against nine individuals who flouted the rules while under home quarantine orders on Monday (Aug 10).

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the nine were among the 1,445 spot checks conducted by the authorities on those undergoing their mandatory 14-day home quarantine order.

A total of 230 individuals were also detained by the police for various offences in flouting the movement control order regulations on Monday. A total of 26 cases involved individuals who failed to wear face masks, while 128 cases involved individuals partaking in activities with crowds, making social distancing impossible.
