They found about 6.3 tonnes of meat products imported by Polymath Wholesales Trading without a valid import permit. The products were seized by SFA. In addition, meat and its products can only be imported from accredited sources in approved countries that comply with our food safety standards and requirements.Offenders who import meat products illegally from unapproved sources without a valid permit shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $10,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or to both.
