Canadian-born businessman and former British lord Conrad Black will be in Toronto next month to team up with ex-New Jersey governor Chris Christie in the Regent Debate. Hosted by the C.D. Howe Institute, the sixth annual Regent Debate will take on the topic 'Be It Resolved: Canada can turn a Trump Presidency from a threat into an opportunity.' Black and Christie will both argue in favour of the motion. Their opponents have yet to be announced.
Vigneault served as chief of CSIS for seven years, and previously worked at the Canadian Border Services Agency. “Protecting intellectual property is one of the great security challenges facing the nations of the free world today,” said Vigneault, who is the latest Canadian to join the Strider team. Back in May, former vice admiral and commander of the Royal Canadian Navy Paul Maddison became an adviser, according to a press release on Strider’s website.
