The North Richmond injecting room permanently remaining next to a primary school will be a foolish decision by a state government which has “lost the plot”, according to Saturday Herald Sun columnist Steve Price.
The Victorian parliament will debate this week whether to make the injecting room permanent, with the Greens pushing to allow access for children.
Mr Price slammed the “complete madness” from Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews, who is ultimately in charge of this “crazy, foolhardy experiment”. “The big problem we have here is that Melbourne’s inner-city suburbs and councils have been captured by the green left and it’s the poor residents that live there pay the price,” he said.

Mr Price said a senior executive had given the clubs until May 8 to reveal if they will be ticking ‘Yes’ on the Voice question that's still being debated for a referendum without a date that is dividing Australia like “no other referendum has”.
