Comedian Rufa Mae Quinto surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in connection with alleged violations of the Securities Regulation Code. Quinto, upon her arrival from San Francisco, went directly to the NBI office and was presented to a Pasay court, which issued an arrest warrant against her for 14 counts of violation of Section 8 of the Securities Regulation Code. Her lawyer stated that Quinto would post bail and face the allegations, which are related to the company Dermacare-Beyond Skin Care Solutions.

COMEDIAN Rufa Mae Quinto surrendered on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, to the National Bureau of Investigation in relation to her alleged violation of the Securities Regulation Code .Quinto went directly to the NBI office upon her arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport from San Francisco, California.

She said Quinto will face all the allegations against her, which is related to the issue of Dermacare-Beyond Skin Care Solutions that also implicated actress-entrepreneur Neri Naig.Both Naig and Quinto maintained that they only served as model/endorser of the company.In September 2023, the Securities and Exchange Commission issued an advisory about the said firm, saying that it was not authorized to solicit investments because they are not registered and have no license to sell securities.
